In your Easter bonnet
with all the frills upon it,
You'll be the grandest lady in the Easter parade

~ Berlin, "Easter Parade", 1933.

Easter is right around the corner; it’s the return of the dress season, and we’re obsessing over them all. This past weekend, I was on a mission to find the perfect Easter dress; a dress that makes me feel beautiful.

I had two things in my mind regarding my Easter dress hunting mission; floral and feminine. You know how it is sometimes you go through dresses after dresses and still can’t seem to find the one you are looking for. Well, after going through a couple of places at the mall, I ended up at Dillard’s. And when I saw this dress on a mannequin. Lo and behold… it took me seconds to decide. It was the Adrianna Papell Sleeveless Floral Printed Fit & Flare Dress. And, I said to myself; “Easter just feels better in looks like these”.

This dramatic fit and flare silhouette is great for camouflaging problem areas in the hips and thighs- and for making an entrance. It is also Midi-length; so perfect for wearing to a church as well as to family gatherings. The floral blooms add intrigue and romance to this outfit. You’ll feel chic either way thanks to the silky-like lining.

Fit-and-flare with extra flair is definitely a wow-inducing Easter dress.

And of course, an Easter dress is incomplete without a hat.

I found this perfect vintage “Kate Landry Sinamay” hat which is practically weightless, and sits right on my head. It has an asymmetrical ruffled brim. The feather and bow accents gives it a true vintage Downtown Abbey feeling.

To match my dress, I am wearing Kate spade New York’s hands-free cross body purse.  The leather is soft and supple, and the stitching is well done. It is definitely poised to become a Saturday-to-Sunday favorite. The purse has a jaunty front zip pocket for stashing receipts and impulse purchases along the way.

My shoes are from White House Black Market. This heel is perfect with a chunky silhouette. The season's neutral shade and a right-now ankle strap kick up free-flowing dresses instantly.

Wishing everyone an Eggs-tra special and all things beautiful Easter!!
